In Thursday's league contest, the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) lacrosse squad routed the visiting South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC), by a count of 16-3.

Coming up next, the Buccaneers confront the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) in a Mideastern contest, on Monday, April 18. Laney will attempt to advance on its 10-2 season record. The Pirates come into the contest with a 9-4 record after their 21-2 league loss to Hoggard (Wilmington, NC).

The Cougars now own a 2-11 record. They take the field next when they host New Hanover for a Mideastern contest on Monday, April 25.
