Illinois High School Softball - Routt Catholic topped by Carrollton

In Thursday's league contest, the Carrollton Hawks (Carrollton, IL) softball team overwhelmed the host Routt Catholic Rockets (Jacksonville, IL), by a margin of 27-3.

With the triumph, Carrollton moves its record to 12-1 on the year. The Hawks travel to Auburn (Auburn, IL) to play the Trojans in a non-league contest on Friday, April 15. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 4-5. Auburn won 7-4 in their recent league contest against Williamsville (Williamsville, IL)

In their next game, the Rockets play the West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars (Winchester, IL) in a Western Illinois Valley - South contest, on Monday, April 18. Routt Catholic will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 3-6 record after their 9-8 league win over Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia (Concord, IL).
