The Monroe Cheesemakers softball team scored 11 runs and held the host Platteville Hillmen to 1 in the Cheesemakers non-league win on Monday.

The Cheesemakers now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Verona for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 17. Monroe will encounter a Wildcats team coming off a 8-7 league win over Vel Phillips Memorial (Madison, WI). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Platteville moves to 3-3 on the season. The Hillmen host Dodgeville (Dodgeville, WI) to encounter the Dodgers in a SWC battle on Tuesday, April 15. The Dodgers come into the battle with a record of 4-3. Dodgeville won 7-4 in their recent non-league battle against Barneveld (Barneveld, WI)
