North Greene Spartans (White Hall, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Jacksonville Crimsons (Jacksonville, IL), 18-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Griggsville-Perry for a Western Illinois Valley - South challenge on Monday, April 18. North Greene will battle a Tornadoes squad coming off a 7-5 league loss to Greenfield/Northwestern (Greenfield, IL). The Tornadoes record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Jacksonville falls to 1-11 on the campaign. The Crimsons host New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly (New Berlin, IL) to battle the Vipers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 18.
