Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Santa Fe Demons (Santa Fe, NM), 17-0 in a league challenge.

The Monarchs now own a 13-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Santa Fe for a 5A District 5 challenge on Saturday, April 16. Manzano will battle a Demons squad coming off a 22-0 league loss to Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM). The Demons record now stands at 2-17.

With the loss, Santa Fe falls to 2-19 on the campaign. The Demons host Manzano (Albuquerque, NM) to battle the Monarchs in a 5A District 5 challenge on Saturday, April 16. The Monarchs enter the challenge with a record of 11-8. Manzano won 19-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Highland (Albuquerque, NM)
