Virginia High School Baseball - Ocean Lakes defeats Providence

In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Ocean Lakes Dolphins baseball team scored a close 7-2 victory over the Providence Panthers.
The Dolphins (7-3) will now prepare for their game against Bayside (Virginia Beach, VA). The Marlins enter the Beach game with a 4-6 record. In their last game, Bayside held off Indian River (Chesapeake, VA), 6-4, in a non-league game.
Next, the Panthers face the East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC) in a Southwestern 4A game, on Tuesday, April 22. Providence will attempt to improve on its 16-5 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 10-12 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Covenant Day (Matthews, NC).
