The Kellenberg Memorial Firebirds baseball team scored 13 runs and held the host Monsignor McClancy Crusaders to 1 in the Firebirds non-league win on Thursday.
The Firebirds now hold a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. John the Baptist for a Catholic Nassau Suffolk test on Tuesday, April 22. Kellenberg Memorial will play a Cougars team coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Monsignor McClancy (Queens, NY). The Cougars record now stands at 4-6.
With the defeat, Monsignor McClancy drops to 2-4 on the year. The Crusaders travel to St. John the Baptist (West Islip, NY) to play the Cougars in a non-league test on Saturday, April 19. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 3-6. St. John the Baptist won 8-1 in their recent league test against St. Dominic (Oyster Bay, NY)
