Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the host South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), 4-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Watauga moves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to clash with the Cougars in a Northwestern 3A/4A test on Tuesday, April 29. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 6-4. Alexander Central won 2-1 in their recent league test against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC)

The Spartans now sport a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Freedom for a Northwestern 3A/4A test on Tuesday, April 29. South Caldwell will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 7-0 league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 5-11.
