Berlin Redcoats (Berlin, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host South Windsor Bobcats (South Windsor, CT), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Redcoats now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host North Branford for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Berlin will face a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Old Lyme (Old Lyme, CT). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, South Windsor falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to East Catholic (Manchester, CT) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 20. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. East Catholic won 13-12 in their recent non-league challenge against East Hartford (East Hartford, CT)
