In Monday's non-league outing, the host Grissom Tigers softball team scored a close 12-7 win over the Madison County Tigers.
Coming up next, the Tigers battle the Sparkman Senators (Harvest, AL) in a 7A Area 7 outing, on Tuesday, April 19. Grissom will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record. The Senators enter the outing with a 21-10 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Lawrence County (Moulton, AL).
The Tigers (16-12) will now prepare for their outing against North Jackson (Stevenson, AL). The Chiefs enter the 4A Area 14 outing with a 19-3 record. In their last outing, North Jackson tipped Skyline (Scottsboro, AL), 13-3, in a non-league outing.
