Colorado High School Baseball - La Veta edges Nucla

The La Veta Redhawks baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host Nucla Mustangs to 8 in the Redhawks league win on Saturday.

The Redhawks now hold a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they host Centennial for a 1A District 1 test on Tuesday, April 22. La Veta will play a Rams team coming off a 29-1 non-league loss to Custer County (Westcliffe, CO). The Rams record now stands at 0-9.

With the defeat, Nucla drops to 7-5 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Ignacio (Ignacio, CO) to play the Bobcats in a 2A San Juan test on Tuesday, April 22. The Bobcats go into the test with a record of 8-3. Ignacio won 10-8 in their recent league test against Dove Creek (Dove Creek, CO)
