The Hillcrest Patriots nipped the host Tuscaloosa County Wildcats softball squad by a final score of 8-7 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Patriots (13-10) will now prepare for their battle against Brooks (Killen, AL). The Lions go into the non-league battle with a 14-3 record. In their last battle, Brooks held off Alexandria (Alexandria, AL), 3-2, in a non-league battle.

The Wildcats now possess a 9-17 record. They play next when they travel to Vestavia Hills for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 5. Tuscaloosa County will confront a Rebels squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Chelsea (Chelsea, AL). The Rebels record now stands at 13-6.
