The Sayre Spartans baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Glasgow Scotties to 2 in the Spartans non-league victory on Sunday.
The Spartans (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL). The Red Wolves go into the non-league match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, Thornton Fractional South was overwhelmed by North Oldham (Goshen, KY), 13-12, in a non-league match.
The Scotties (1-5) will now prepare for their match against Madison (Madison, OH). The Blue Streaks go into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Madison edged Erie (Erie, PA), 2-0, in a non-league match.
