Westford Academy Grey Ghosts (Westford, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Chelmsford Lions (North Chelmsford, MA), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Grey Ghosts now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Lincoln-Sudbury for a Dual County Large challenge on Monday, April 25. Westford Academy will face a Warriors squad coming off a 15-10 non-league loss to Hopkinton (Hopkinton, MA). The Warriors record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Chelmsford falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Billerica Memorial (Billerica, MA) to face the Indians in a Merrimack Valley - Conf 2 challenge on Wednesday, April 27. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 7-0. Billerica Memorial won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Lowell (Lowell, MA)
