The Edwin O. Smith Panthers baseball team (Storrs, CT), was overwhelmed 9-1 in Saturday's non-league outing with the visiting Valley Regional Warriors (Deep River, CT)
The Warriors now hold a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Portland for a non-league outing on Monday, April 24. Valley Regional will confront a Highlanders team coming off a 14-3 non-league loss to Ellington (Ellington, CT). The Highlanders record now stands at 1-8.
Next, the Panthers confront the Manchester Red Hawks (Manchester, CT) in a Central Connecticut - North outing, on Monday, April 24. Edwin O. Smith will attempt to advance on its 3-5 season record. The Red Hawks go into the outing with a 7-2 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Grasso Tech (Groton, CT).
