The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Woodland Regional Hawks (Beacon Falls, CT) and the host Oxford Wolverines (Oxford, CT), observed Woodland Regional's softball team get by Oxford by a tally of 4-3.

The Hawks (7-2) will now prepare for their bout against Holy Cross (Waterbury, CT). The Crusaders go into the Naugatuck Valley - Brass bout with a 4-3 record. In their last bout, Holy Cross was nipped by Naugatuck (Naugatuck, CT), 4-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Wolverines clash with the Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, April 24. Oxford will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 8-0 record after their 22-0 league win over Wamogo Regional (Litchfield, CT).
