Valley Regional Warriors (Deep River, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Portland Highlanders (Portland, CT), 19-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Coginchaug Regional for a Shoreline - Large challenge on Wednesday, April 24.

With the loss, Portland falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Vinal RVT (Middletown, CT) to battle the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 23. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 1-4. Vinal RVT lost 13-1 in their recent league challenge against Wilcox RVT (Meriden, CT)
