Southwest Guilford Cowboys (High Point, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Walkertown Wolfpack (Walkertown, NC), 12-10 in a non-league challenge.

The Cowboys now own a 18-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northwest Guilford for a Metro 4A challenge on Friday, April 26. Southwest Guilford will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 9-2 league win over Southeast Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 19-2.

With the loss, Walkertown falls to 10-9 on the campaign. The Wolfpack travel to T.W. Andrews (High Point, NC) to battle the Red Raiders in a Mid-State 2A challenge on Friday, April 26. The Red Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 5-10. T.W. Andrews won 23-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Thomasville (Thomasville, NC)
