Villa Park Spartans (Villa Park, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Foothill Knights (Santa Ana, CA), 9-3 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 22-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Canyon for a Crestview challenge on Wednesday, April 27. Villa Park will battle a Comanches squad coming off a 7-1 league win over Esperanza (Anaheim, CA). The Comanches record now stands at 23-4.

With the loss, Foothill falls to 10-14 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Esperanza (Anaheim, CA) to battle the Aztecs in a Crestview challenge on Wednesday, April 27. The Aztecs enter the challenge with a record of 16-11. Esperanza lost 7-1 in their recent league challenge against Canyon (Anaheim, CA)
