Mt. Carmel Golden Aces (Mt. Carmel, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lawrenceville Indians (Lawrenceville, IL), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Golden Aces now own a 12-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newton for a Little Illini challenge on Tuesday, April 26. Mt. Carmel will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 5-4 league win over Richland County (Olney, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 14-4.

With the loss, Lawrenceville falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Oblong (Oblong, IL) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 27. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 1-8. Oblong lost 5-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Paris (Paris, IL)
