Washington Warriors (Sioux Falls, SD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Yankton Bucks/Gazelles (Yankton, SD), 8-1 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sturgis Brown for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 26.

With the loss, Yankton falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Bucks/gazelles travel to Aberdeen Central (Aberdeen, SD) to face the Golden Eagles in a Class AA challenge on Saturday, April 27. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-11. Aberdeen Central lost 19-4 in their recent league challenge against O'Gorman (Sioux Falls, SD)
