The Shelbyville Rams (Shelbyville, IL) baseball trounced the host Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL), 7-1 in Friday's league challenge.

The Rams now own a 13-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 29.

With the defeat, Clinton drops to 8-10 on the year. The Maroons travel to Meridian (Macon, IL) to clash with the Hawks in a Central Illinois challenge on Monday, April 28. The Hawks go into the challenge with a record of 1-12. Meridian won 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Central A & M (Moweaqua, IL)
