The Alleghany Cougars crushed the visiting James River Knights baseball team by a count of 10-3 in Friday's league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Radford for a Three Rivers bout on Monday, April 29. Alleghany will face a Bobcats team coming off a 10-3 league loss to Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-7.

Next, the Knights face the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, April 30. James River will attempt to move on its 1-13 season record. The Cavaliers enter the bout with a 9-3 record after their 8-3 league loss to Alleghany (Covington, VA).
