Northwest Catholic Lions (West Hartford, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Farmington River Hawks (Farmington, CT), 22-12 in a league challenge.
The Lions now own a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host East Hartford for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 28. Northwest Catholic will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 18-1 league loss to Edwin O. Smith (Storrs, CT). The Hornets record now stands at 1-9.
With the loss, Farmington falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The River hawks host Glastonbury (Glastonbury, CT) to battle the Tomahawks in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 29. The Tomahawks enter the challenge with a record of 8-1. Glastonbury won 9-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Conard (West Hartford, CT)
