Abington Green Wave (Abington, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Rockland Bulldogs (Rockland, MA), 14-2 in a league challenge.

The Green Wave now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they host Hull for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 3. Abington will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 18-1 non-league loss to Norwell (Norwell, MA). The Pirates record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Rockland falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Middleborough (Middleborough, MA) to battle the Sachems in a South Shore - Pilgrim challenge on Tuesday, May 3. The Sachems enter the challenge with a record of 2-3.
