East Leopards (Salt Lake City, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Park City Miners (Park City, UT), 16-1 in a league challenge.

The Leopards now own a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brighton for a 5A Region 6 challenge on Monday, May 2. East will face a Bengals squad coming off a 16-2 non-league loss to Providence Hall (Herriman, UT). The Bengals record now stands at 8-13.

With the loss, Park City falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Provo (Provo, UT) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 2. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 0-12. Provo lost 17-0 in their recent league challenge against Wasatch (Heber City, UT)
