Salem Rocks (Canton, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Churchill Chargers (Livonia, MI), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Rocks now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Novi for a Kensington Lakes - West challenge on Wednesday, May 1. Salem will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 10-6 league loss to Hartland (Hartland, MI). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-12.

With the loss, Churchill falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Wayne Memorial (Wayne, MI) to face the Zebras in a Kensington Lakes - East challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Zebras enter the challenge with a record of 0-2.
