The Buckingham Knights softball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Amelia County Raiders to 1 in the Knights league win on Tuesday.

The Knights now possess a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lunenburg Central for a James River battle on Thursday, May 1. Buckingham will confront a Chargers team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Southampton (Courtland, VA). The Chargers record now stands at 8-0.

With the loss, Amelia County moves to 3-4 on the season. The Raiders host Nottoway (Nottoway, VA) to confront the Cougars in a James River battle on Thursday, May 1. The Cougars come into the battle with a record of 11-4. Nottoway won 3-2 in their recent league battle against Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA)
