The Shippensburg Greyhounds overwhelmed the visiting James Buchanan Rockets softball squad by a count of 12-2 in Tuesday's league challenge.
Next, the Greyhounds meet the Boiling Springs Bubblers (Boiling Springs, PA) in a Mid-Penn - Colonial challenge, on Thursday, May 1. Shippensburg will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Bubblers go into the challenge with a 8-10 record after their 5-3 league loss to West Perry (Elliottsburg, PA).
The Rockets (9-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Big Spring (Newville, PA). The Bulldogs go into the Mid-Penn - Colonial challenge with a 13-4 record. In their last challenge, Big Spring toppled Northern York (Dillsburg, PA), 1-0, in a league challenge.
