Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Proviso West Panthers (Hillside, IL), 11-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Lions confront the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies (Oak Park, IL) in a West Suburban - Silver challenge, on Thursday, May 2. Lyons will attempt to better on its 13-2 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 1-0 league win over Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL).
The Panthers now have a 0-19 record. They take the field next when they travel to York for a West Suburban - Silver challenge on Thursday, May 2. Proviso West will confront a Dukes team coming off a 2-0 league win over Hinsdale Central (Hinsdale, IL). The Dukes record now stands at 13-1.
