West Virginia High School Baseball - Braxton County defeats Calhoun

April 30, 2026: Mt. Zion, WV 26151

The Braxton County Eagles (Sutton, WV) baseball trounced the host Calhoun Red Devils (Mt. Zion, WV), 17-9 in Thursday's league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 2-19 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grafton for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 4. Braxton County will clash with a Bearcats team coming off a 15-7 non-league win over University (Morgantown, WV). The Bearcats record now stands at 16-6.

With the defeat, Calhoun drops to 2-18 on the year. The Red devils travel to Man (Man, WV) to clash with the Hillbillies in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 2. The Hillbillies go into the challenge with a record of 7-13. Man lost 15-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Belfry (Belfry, KY)
