The New Brockton Gamecocks (New Brockton, AL) softball routed the visiting Pike County Bulldogs (Brundidge, AL), 10-4 in Monday's league bout.
The Gamecocks (8-8) will now prepare for their bout against Opp (Opp, AL). The Bobcats go into the 3A Area 4 bout with a 17-8 record. In their last bout, Opp was routed by Brantley (Brantley, AL), 9-3, in a non-league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they host Luverne for a non-league bout on Thursday, April 7. Pike County will confront a Tigers squad coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Brewbaker Tech (Montgomery, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 10-7.
