The Myrtle Hawks softball team scored 19 runs and limited the host Byers Lions to 0 in the Hawks league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Myrtle moves its record to 12-3 on the year. The Hawks host East Union (Blue Springs, MS) to clash with the Urchins in a non-league game on Saturday, April 6. The Urchins come into the game with a record of 16-2. East Union won 10-0 in their recent league game against Hamilton (Hamilton, MS)

In their next game, the Lions clash with the Pine Grove Panthers (Ripley, MS) in a 1A Region 2 game, on Tuesday, April 9. Byers will attempt to move on its 0-7 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 13-8 record after their 16-0 league win over Falkner (Falkner, MS).
