The Santa Fe Chiefs held off the visiting San Gabriel Matadors volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Friday's non-league test.

The Chiefs now have a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host California for a Del Rio test on Tuesday, April 9. Santa Fe will confront a Condors team coming off a 3-0 league loss to El Rancho (Pico Rivera, CA). The Condors record now stands at 6-24.

The Matadors (12-8) will now prepare for their test against Bell Gardens (Bell Gardens, CA). The Lancers enter the Almont test with a 6-12 record. In their last test, Bell Gardens held off Diamond Ranch (Pomona, CA), 3-2, in a non-league test.
