Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the East Webster Wolverines (Maben, MS) and the visiting Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS), saw East Webster's baseball squad edge Neshoba Central by a count of 4-3.
Coming up next, the Wolverines play the Mooreville Troopers (Mooreville, MS) in a 3A Region 4 battle, on Tuesday, April 9. East Webster will attempt to move on its 20-3 season record. The Troopers enter the battle with a 17-5 record after their 6-3 non-league loss to Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS).
The Rockets now possess a 13-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Vicksburg for a 6A Region 2 battle on Tuesday, April 9. Neshoba Central will play a Gators squad coming off a 18-12 league win over Columbus (Columbus, MS). The Gators record now stands at 8-15.
