The Memorial Mustangs softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Friendswood Mustangs to 8 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Memorial moves its record to 23-2 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Cypress Ridge (Houston, TX) to clash with the Rams in a 6A Region III District 17 game on Tuesday, April 9. The Rams come into the game with a record of 9-10. Cypress Ridge lost 12-3 in their recent league game against Jersey Village (Houston, TX)

In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Santa Fe Indians (Santa Fe, TX) in a 5A Region III District 18 game, on Tuesday, April 9. Friendswood will attempt to move on its 16-7 season record. The Indians come into the game with a 18-11 record after their 9-3 league loss to Angleton (Angleton, TX).
