In Friday's league test, the host Pentucket Regional lacrosse squad scored a tight 15-9 victory over the Newburyport Clippers.

The now have a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Reading for a Cape Ann test on Monday, April 10. Pentucket Regional will face a Hornets squad coming off a 17-4 league loss to Lynnfield (Lynnfield, MA). The Hornets record now stands at 0-2.

In their next game, the Clippers face the Concord-Carlisle Patriots (Concord, MA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, April 8. Newburyport will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Patriots come into the test with a 1-1 record after their 8-6 non-league loss to Lincoln-Sudbury (Sudbury, MA).
