The Plainfield East Bengals held off the host Geneva Vikings volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Bengals now have a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elgin for a non-league test on Saturday, April 9. Plainfield East will confront a Maroons team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Harlem (Machesney Park, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 4-4.
The Vikings (3-5) will now prepare for their test against Oak Lawn (Oak Lawn, IL). The Spartans enter the non-league test with a 4-7 record. In their last test, Oak Lawn held off Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.
