Galena Pirates (Galena, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Milledgeville Missiles (Milledgeville, IL), 20-13 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Morrison for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 11. Galena will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 11-6 league loss to Riverdale (Port Byron, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Milledgeville falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Missiles travel to West Carroll (Savanna, IL) to battle the Thunder in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 20. The Thunder enter the challenge with a record of 1-4.
