Mt. Ararat Eagles (Topsham, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wells Warriors (Wells, ME), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Morse for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 13. Mt. Ararat will battle a Shipbuilders squad coming off a 9-0 league loss to Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME). The Shipbuilders record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Wells falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Warriors host Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME) to battle the Clippers in a Class B South challenge on Friday, May 13. The Clippers enter the challenge with a record of 0-7. Yarmouth lost 14-6 in their recent league challenge against Gray-New Gloucester (Gray, ME)
