Connecticut High School Softball - Naugatuck knocked off by Oxford

The Oxford Wolverines overwhelmed the host Naugatuck Greyhounds softball squad by a count of 11-1 in Wednesday's league challenge.

Next, the Wolverines meet the Seymour Wildcats (Seymour, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, May 15. Oxford will attempt to upgrade on its 12-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the challenge with a 12-3 record after their 14-0 non-league win over Rocky Hill (Rocky Hill, CT).

The Greyhounds (10-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Holy Cross (Waterbury, CT). The Crusaders go into the Naugatuck Valley - Brass challenge with a 8-7 record. In their last challenge, Holy Cross was routed by Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT), 6-1, in a league challenge.
