Maine High School Softball - Piscataquis nudges Greenville

Piscataquis Pirates (Guilford, ME) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Greenville Lakers (Greenville, ME), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.
The Pirates now sport a 1-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mattanawcook for a Class C North challenge on Thursday, May 25.
With the loss, Greenville falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Schenck (East Millinocket, ME) to face the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 24. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
