Puyallup Vikings (Puyallup, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Chiawana Riverhawks (Pasco, WA), 12-7 in a non-league challenge.
The Vikings now own a 25-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Redmond for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 28. Puyallup will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Kentwood (Covington, WA). The Mustangs record now stands at 22-9.
With the loss, Chiawana falls to 17-10 on the campaign. The Riverhawks travel to Emerald Ridge (South Hill, WA) to face the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 27. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 15-8. Emerald Ridge won 14-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Tahoma (Maple Valley, WA)
