Greenwood Gators (Bowling Green, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Gators now own a 19-4 record. They take the field next when they host Logan County for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 9. Greenwood will face a Cougars squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Daviess County (Owensboro, KY). The Cougars record now stands at 10-11.

With the loss, Boyd County falls to 17-8 on the campaign. The Lions host Raceland (Raceland, KY) to face the Rams in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 9. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 8-7. Raceland lost 5-1 in their recent league challenge against Russell (Russell, KY)
