The Lawrence Free State Firebirds baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host Olathe Northwest Ravens to 1 in the Firebirds league win on Thursday.

The Firebirds now own a 14-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lawrence for a Sunflower test on Friday, May 9. Lawrence Free State will clash with a Lions team coming off a 5-2 league loss to Mill Valley (Shawnee, KS). The Lions record now stands at 8-12.

With the defeat, Olathe Northwest drops to 4-12 on the year. The Ravens travel to Shawnee Mission Northwest (Shawnee Mission, KS) to clash with the Cougars in a Sunflower test on Saturday, May 10. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 6-11. Shawnee Mission Northwest lost 2-0 in their recent league test against Shawnee Mission South (Shawnee Mission, KS)
