The Fort Defiance Indians baseball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Rockbridge County Wildcats to 2 in the Indians non-league win on Thursday.

The Indians now hold a 7-8 record. They take the field next when they host Stuarts Draft for a non-league test on Friday, May 9. Fort Defiance will play a Cougars team coming off a 14-3 non-league win over Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 9-8.

With the defeat, Rockbridge County drops to 1-10 on the year. The Wildcats host Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, VA) to play the Blue Streaks in a non-league test on Friday, May 9. The Blue Streaks go into the test with a record of 0-10. Harrisonburg lost 13-1 in their recent non-league test against Broadway (Broadway, VA)
