The West Lauderdale Knights baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting South Pontotoc Cougars to 1 in the Knights non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Knights (18-4) will now prepare for their match against South Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS). The Cougars go into the non-league match with a 23-6 record. In their last challenge, South Pontotoc was overwhelmed by West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS), 11-1, in a non-league challenge.
With the defeat, South Pontotoc falls to 23-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS) to encounter the Knights in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 10.
