In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Gehlen Catholic Jays baseball team scored a nice 13-0 victory over the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks.
The Jays (8-1) will now prepare for their game against Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union (Marcus, IA). The Royals go into the non-league game with a 5-8 record. In their last game, Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union was overwhelmed by Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA), 16-5, in a non-league game.
