In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Madrid Tigers baseball team scored a close 8-5 win over the Perry Bluejays.
The Tigers (5-11) will now prepare for their game against Woodward-Granger (Woodward, IA). The Hawks go into the West Central game with a 8-9 record. In their last game, Woodward-Granger nudged Interstate 35 (Truro, IA), 8-5, in a league game.
Next, the Bluejays play the Carroll Tigers (Carroll, IA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, June 24. Perry will attempt to improve on its 2-16 season record.
