The West Burlington Falcons the visiting Highland Huskies softball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Wednesday's non-league battle.
The Falcons (14-7) will now prepare for their battle against Mediapolis (Mediapolis, IA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league battle with a 6-7 record. In their last battle, Mediapolis by Van Buren County (Keosauqua, IA), 13-1, in a non-league battle.
The Huskies now possess a 7-8 record. They play next when they host Lone Tree for a non-league battle on Friday, June 23. Highland will meet a Lions squad coming off a 17-3 non-league win over Winfield-Mt. Union (Winfield, IA). The Lions record now stands at 8-11.
